MAIDENBERG-TODOROVA, Kira

Dr. Kira Maidenberg-Todorova is a Ukrainian composer, pianist, and musicologist born in Odesa, Ukraine. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Odesa National A. V. Nezhdanova Academy of Music, studying composition under Karmella Tsepkolenko and piano under D. Reznik, before earning her PhD in Art Studies. She serves as an Associate Professor in the Music Theory and Composition Department at the Odesa National Music Academy and is an active member of the National Union of Ukrainian Composers.

Maidenberg-Todorova’s catalogue spans contemporary orchestral, chamber, choral, and solo piano works, widely performed across European and international new-music festivals—including "Two Days and Two Nights of New Music", "Kyiv Music Fest", and "Season Premiere". Recognized with numerous honors, she was awarded the Levko Revutsky National Prize (2018), the Odesa Regional Prize for creative achievement, and top prizes at competitions across Ukraine and Germany.
