Doctor of Music in Composition at the Manhattan School of Music, a graduate of the Composition Diploma program at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, Austria, and a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).
She was admitted to the Composition Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, majoring in sight-singing and ear training, under the tutelage of Professor Jiang Weimin and Professor Zhou Wenyu, and also studied composition under Professor Chen Qiangbin. In 2009, she was admitted to the postgraduate program without examination, continuing her studies under Professor Jiang Weimin in the field of sight-singing and ear training teaching and research. In 2010, her sight-singing and ear training textbook, "A Tutorial on Dictation of Multi-Tone Three-Part Melodies," was published by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Press. In the same year, she received full funding from the China Scholarship Council of the Ministry of Education and was sent to the Manhattan School of Music in the United States to study for a Master's degree in composition under the guidance of German composer and theorist Professor Reiko Fueting. Since 2012, she has been pursuing a doctoral degree in composition and has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory and sight-singing and ear training. Since 2013, she has been studying composition under the renowned contemporary European composer Beat Furrer.
