Gunilla Lowenstein was a Swedish-English composer and music teacher born in Uppsala, Sweden. She studied at the Guildhall School of Music in London, where she won the composition prize in 1958, and is known for works like her 1961 String Quartet and Swedish-Hungarian Variations.
