Karin Lönegren was a Swedish pianist, composer and teacher. Karin Löhnegren's compositional legacy consists primarily of songs and piano pieces. She also compiled a collection of Swedish folk songs, for which she wrote piano accompaniment. More compositionally complex is the vocal piece "Stämning," the music for which is set to a lyric poem by an unknown author. The cycle "Fyra lyriska stycken for piano" (1908) consists of four pieces—Barcarolle, Andante, Berceuse, and Gavotte—written in the tradition of Romantic piano music of the late 19th century.
