LADANO, Kathryn

Kathryn Ladano is a Canadian bass clarinetist recognized for her specialization in contemporary music and free improvisation. She performs both solo and in chamber ensembles. Ladano is an award-winning artist and has been described as one of Canada's foremost bass clarinetists.

Her work encompasses a range of musical selections within her chosen genres. Beyond her performance career, Ladano is also involved in academia. She holds positions as an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Graduate Program in Interdisciplinary Studies at York University and as a Sessional Instructor at Conrad Grebel College, part of the University of Waterloo. Ladano has also collaborated on an album titled "Anatomy of the Recovering."
