KIKOUTCHI, Ezko

Ezko Kikoutchi is a composer and organist born in Japan. She studied organ, piano, vocal music, Gregorian chant, harmony, and counterpoint in Japan, graduating as a music teacher. After moving to Switzerland in 1997, she pursued organ studies at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne, earning a diploma and a first prize. She also studied composition, musical analysis, and orchestration at the same institution.

Kikoutchi served as an organist in Lausanne from 1998 to 2005 and has been the titular organist of the parish of Ecublens since 2001. She later studied composition at the Haute école des arts de Berne, obtaining a Bachelor's degree and a Master of Arts in Composition and Theory. Her compositions have been performed by various ensembles and orchestras, and she has received commissions from several musical organizations.
