Gertrud Keller was a music teacher and publisher who was particularly well known for her works on early musical education and for beginner instrumentalists. She published several playbooks and teaching books for the recorder, as well as piano methods designed specifically for children and beginners. The arrangements are mostly simple, encouraging group music-making and singing and playing together.
