Josepha (or Josephine) Kanzler (born July 15, 1778, in Markt Tölz; died May 5, 1843, in Munich) was a pianist, piano teacher, and composer. Her parents were the forensic pathologist Dr. Benno Friedrich Kanzler and Franziska Kanzler, née Weishaupt. After her father's transfer to Munich, Josepha Kanzler received extensive musical training. She studied piano with Marcus Falter (1762–1843) and Franz Seraphin Lauska (1764–1825). Her music theory teachers were Joseph Graetz (1760–1826) and Franz Danzi (1763–1826). She was a fellow student of Carl Maria von Weber and Giacomo Meyerbeer under her later composition teacher, Abbé Georg Joseph Vogler (1749–1814). In 1804, she married the Munich Privy Councillor Philipp von Fladt (1778–1865). Around 1811, she was probably in Mannheim for concerts.
