KANZIG, Eva

Eva Känzig has been working at the PH Zurich since 1992, first at the predecessor institution Lehrerseminar Zürich and since 2002 at the PH Zurich as a lecturer for piano accompaniment of songs.

Before that, and initially in parallel, she taught for 15 years at the Zürcher Oberland music school and for five years as a specialist didactics teacher at the Schaffhausen Conservatory.

She studied music at the predecessor institution of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) from 1982 to 1987, furthering her education in jazz and pop piano, jazz vocals, vocal techniques, and conducting. In 1995, she founded the women's choir "Absatz & Gloria" in Uster. She arranges and composes musical works for this choir, conducts them, and accompanies them on the piano at regular performances.
