American pianist, teacher and composer. New York, August 12, 1930. She graduated from the Moravian Seminary in 1948 and in 1952 from the Eastman School of Music. She did further studies in composition under Bernard Rogers at the Eastman School of Music, Louis Cheslock at the Peabody Conservatory and at the Chautauqua Institution, New York.
