Elsa Just was a German composer and pianist whose promising musical career took place in the late Romantic and early 20th-century German musical sphere. Receiving comprehensive early training in piano performance, counterpoint, and composition, she developed a refined creative voice rooted in the expressive harmonic language of the era before her life was cut tragically short at the age of twenty-five.
