Ljubinka Hadži Jovančić (Belgrade, June 22, 1944) studied piano and composition at the Music Academy in Belgrade and subsequently taught at a music school in the same city. Her major works include: *Overture* (1973) for symphony orchestra, which won an award at the BEMUS (Belgrade Music Festivals) competition and was performed in 1976; *Piano Concerto* (1978), recorded by RTB (Radio-Television Belgrade); and *Study* for four instruments (1980), the winning composition of the Association of Composers of Serbia competition, performed at the Yugoslav Composers' Tribune. Her other works include: *Psalm for Strings* (1982/83), *Prayer to the Holy King* for wind quintet, *Constellations* (variations for piano, 1981), and *Concerto for Cello and Strings* (2004).
