JHA, Shreya

Shreya Jha is a composer, performer, teacher, and medical student. She holds dual bachelor's degrees in neuroscience and music composition from the University of Toronto and is currently a pediatrics resident at McMaster University. Jha's interests include music composition, musical theatre, and interdisciplinary research.

Her first musical, *Statistics*, premiered in 2019 and won the Adams Prize for Musical Theatre at the Toronto Fringe Festival. Other musicals include *Connections*, *LUV*, *18 Palace Road*, and *The Last Piece*. Jha's compositional debut with the National Arts Centre Orchestra occurred in April 2021. Her works have also been performed by the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra and the Gryphon Trio. Jha explores the intersection of music and science, contributing to various research initiatives. She also holds an ARCT in piano performance and plays the viola and violin.
