American composer Christine Jancarz writes music with lyrical melodies and memorable rhythms. Inspired by the beauty, joy, sadness and fury of the world around her, she creates music, poetry, and stories to express these thoughts and emotions.
Her beloved dogs are a favorite inspiration. An example of this is Sadie’s Day Out, a solo violin piece about her dog’s swim therapy. It premiered in an online concert by violinist Holly Mulcahy as part of the Wichita Symphony Orchestra Great Plains Composers Workshop. A multimovement work entitled Symphonic Imagery, an orchestral work inspired by animals, nature, and memories from her childhood, used themes from her work Colours Picturesque Vol. 2 for solo piano.
