JAMES, Kristina

Kristina James is a Los Angeles-based film and media composer, orchestrator, and singer-songwriter. She is best known for scoring documentaries like "First Voice Generation" and films like "Never Again Para Nadie", and for contributing music to the hit show "Outlander". James earned her Bachelor's in Music Composition from San Francisco State University and a Film Scoring Certificate from UCLA Extension.

She is the first recipient of The Chimaera Project’s film composing mentorship program, studying under Bear McCreary. She was also a finalist in the 2020 California Independent Film Festival Scoring Competition, where she was awarded a mentorship under Pinar Toprak.

Beyond film, she has written music for Sesame Street's Sesame in Communities projects. Her soundtrack albums, including Yangtze River The Race and First Voice Generation, are available on major streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
