JAIANI, Valentina

Jaiani graduated from the Tbilisi State Conservatory in 1942, successfully completing both the historical-theoretical and scientific-compositional faculties. Throughout her extensive career, she worked as a concertmaster, taught music history and literature at the Poti Music School, and spent decades as an educator at Tbilisi's 8th Music School. For her contributions to education and the arts, she was recognized as an Honored Teacher of Georgia in 1974.
Her compositions are largely characterized by lyrical, chamber-instrumental piano pieces and folk-inspired dances.
