IVANOVA, Olga Andreevna

Olga Ivanova is a contemporary Russian composer, pianist, educator, and author. Born in Moscow, she began her musical studies at age five. She graduated with honors from the Central Music School of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2013 and subsequently earned her degree with honors from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2018. During her studies, she trained in composition under professors T. A. Chudova and V. G. Agafonnikov.

Ivanova has established a successful career both as a performer and a creator. She is a laureate of numerous international piano and composition competitions, including the Vera Lothar-Shevchenko Piano Competition, the S. V. Rachmaninoff International Competition for Young Pianists, and the I. Dunaevsky International Composers Competition. In 2016, she was awarded the Prize of the President of the Russian Federation.

Her body of work encompasses compositions for symphony orchestra, chamber ensembles, and vocal music. She has a particular affinity for the song genre, with award-winning works such as Assol and Clouds. As a performer, she has toured throughout Russia, Poland, France, and Switzerland, appearing in prestigious venues such as the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.

Beyond her creative work, Ivanova is active in music journalism and pedagogy, contributing research articles to journals such as Piano and PIANO-Forum. Since 2018, she has also hosted a YouTube blog titled "Pianist's Notes," where she shares insights into the life and work of a classical musician.
