Caroline Jensen was born on 22 Feb 1857 in Ratzeburg, Lauenburg, Schleswig-Holstein. She died on 21 Jul 1947 in Hellerup. She married Johan Otto Valdemar Irminger on 8 Jul 1881 in Aarhus.

Some of her letters, pictures and compositions are preserved at the Foreningen Kvinder i Musik.
