Maria Infiesta i Argüeso (1886 - 1965) was a Catalan pianist and composer of Puerto Rican origin.[1]
She carried out a large part of her musical studies in Barcelona, where she was a student of Enric Granados.[2]
She married the Argentine tenor Mariano A. Olivares, with whom she would settle in Tucumán. She worked as a professor at the Academia de Bellas Artes of the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán.[3] They gave recitals together everywhere, several of which in Barcelona during the 1930s, such as at the Sala Mozart or the Acadèmia Marshall.[4]
Music critics acclaimed Infiesta's good work, who often took part in concerts either as an accompanying pianist or in chamber ensembles.
