Lili Iashvili was a georgian composer and teacher. One of the prominent representatives of Georgian Pop Music Art, honored Worker of Georgian Art (1966) and People’s Artist of Georgia (1981). In 1953, she graduated from Tbilisi State Conservatory named after Vano Sarajishvili (class of Iona Tuskia). From 1940 to 1961 she was the Concertmaster of the Central Sports School and from 1960 to 1975 she was a teacher of Meliton Balanchivadze Music School (composition). She is the author of the first children’s musical comedy “Babajana Koshebi”.
