As a composer, she believes that music is ultimately a record of reflections on human life. Perhaps for this reason, her music engages with human narratives and emotions, reconstructing soundscapes that emerge from the situations and experiences of human life.
She studied composition with Oscar Bettison at Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University, where she received both her Master’s and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees.

She is currently a U.S.-based composer and has collaborated with various ensembles, including the TIMF Ensemble and the Wet Ink Ensemble. She also actively engages in multidisciplinary collaborations.
