HUSE, Eira Sjaastad

Eira Huse (1990) is a Norwegian composer and singer from Oslo, Norway.

Huse has a Master’s degree in classical singing from The Norwegian Academy of Music and Barrat Due (2014-2016). She also has a two year diploma program in composition and orchestration from The Norwegian Academy of Music (2022-2024).

Her body of work spans everything from choir, sinfonietta, soundtrack, chamber music and solo.

Huse's works are regularly performed in festivals in Norway and Europe, such as Musica Nova Helsinki, Tampere Biennale, Borealis Festival, Vestafor, Norsjø Kammermusikkfest and Ultima.


Huse has collaborated with distinguished ensembles, musicians and artists such as Eivind Ringstad, Sandra Lied Haga, Key Ensemble, Linnéa Sundfær Casserly, Jutta Seppinen, visual artist Eli Mai Huang Nesse and Anaïs Touret. She composes both vocal and instrumental pieces, and future premieres include work for Saxtronauts (FI) & Ensemble Detritus (FI/NO) and Birkelunden Mannskor (NO), St. Croix String Quartet (NO) and Vino Ensemble (FI).

She is a member of The Norwegian Society of Composers (Norsk komponistforening) and The Norwegian Society of Soloists (Norsk Tonekunstnersamfund).
