HUIJBREHTS, Sanne

Blending indie-folk's sensuality with the dynamic turns of contemporary jazz, Sanne Sanne explores sparkling textures, rich vocal harmonies, and seductive grooves. With unique instrumentation and space for improvisation, their music leaves a lasting impression.

The group led by singer, composer, and percussionist Sanne Huijbregts won the Best Band award Saturday evening at the Bimhuis. Jury chair Mijke Loeven motivates the decision as follows: “With their unique instrumentation and distinctive sound, featuring stunning compositions that leave room for improvisation and complex rhythms, Sanne Sanne has the ability to deeply move you.” (Mijke Loeven)
