HOWELL, Maureen

Maureen Howell is a native of Virginia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from The College of William and Mary, where she studied piano and organ, and a Masters in Church Music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where she discovered a love for composition. As a church musician for more than 40 years, she has served churches in Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, and Kentucky, and accompanied community choirs. Maureen enjoys keyboard, instrumental, and choral arranging, especially creating fresh settings of familiar hymns. She has been featured on American Public Media’s Pipedreams. Since 2021, Maureen has served as Organist at First Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina.
