HINLOOPEN, Tooske

During her studies at the Sweelinck Conservatory, Tooske Hinloopen was a pianist at the Amsterdam Theatre School and accompanied choirs and ensembles. After graduating, she played with the Vrije Gemeente and performed regularly with colleagues in the Small Hall of the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. ​​She is a member of the Scarbo Pianist Collective and is part of the Stravinsky Piano Quartet, which focuses on performances of Le Sacre du Printemps for four pianos in the arrangement by Maarten Bon.

Tooske Hinloopen wrote piano music for writers, poets, and artists, including Simon Vinkenoog, Jos Versteegen, Gerard van Emmerik, Eke Mannink, Willem Vreeswijk, and Selda Khoy. She also composed incidental music for Helmert Woudenberg. Her collaboration with the French artist Mariannick Desaive resulted in a CD of her own work: Musique pour la Galérie (2002).

Currently, Tooske Hinloopen is affiliated with the Ontmoetingskerk in Eefde as a pianist/organist. She regularly gives (house) concerts where she plays her own compositions and recites from her collection of music columns (stories in which music plays a small or large role).
