Born in Würzburg, cellist Traudl Herrmann comes from a family of musicians. She received her first cello lessons at the age of five from Margarethe Kindermann. She furthered her cello studies with Jörg Metzger and Ksenija Jankovic, adding Baroque cello studies with Anner Bylsma and Christoph Coin, as well as gaining experience in improvisation concerts. After engagements with the Mainz State Theatre and the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen, she is now a sought-after cello teacher alongside her concert career.
