Ockmi Han graduated from Seoul National University and Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris (studied under Gerard Grisey). She also gained the superior diploma of Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, read extensively on musicology of 20th century at EHESS-IRCAM. Her works selected and awarded in several international concours like Gaudeamus Music Week, Valentino Bucchi Prize and MC2/BASS Prize. After returning to Korea, sponsored by The Korean Culture & Arts Foundation, invitation exhibition at Munhwailbo Gallery and at Insa Art Center, Han has resented music composition, audio-visual work and installation, demolishing the boundary of music & adjacent visual art fields. She was awarded at 23th The Korean Composer's Prize (2004) and currently she is professor at the Catholic University of Korea.
