The pianist and composer Sarah Haessig was born in Zurich and grew up in Ticino.
She received her artistic training at the Basel Music Academy with Jean-Jacques Dünki and at the Lucerne School of Music with Ivan Klansky, where she earned her concert diploma. She also studied composition with Roland Moser and Dieter Ammann. Concert tours have taken her throughout Europe, as well as to Mexico and the USA. Sarah Haessig performs regularly as a soloist and in various chamber music ensembles and is deeply committed to musical collaboration. Her works have been performed by, among others, the Camerata Variabile Basel and Regula Mühlemann. In her projects, she consciously seeks the connection between music and painting and develops interdisciplinary forms of expression. She currently works as a piano teacher and accompanist, combining pedagogical experience with artistic practice in her work.
