She wrote various works on elementary music pedagogy, as well as other compositions for piano and harmonium, and dramatic and stage works. As a music journalist, she published the journal *Musikalische Jugendpost* (Musical Youth Post) for the music publisher Peter Josef Tonger and worked there as editor-in-chief. The journal was published in 1886 and 1887, with a total of 48 issues. Further articles appeared in the journals * Der Klavier-Lehrer* (The Piano Teacher) and *Die Lehrerin in Schule und Haus* (The Teacher in School and Home) .

Her own works included the novellas *Lustige und ernste Musikantengeschichten * (Funny and Serious Musicians' Stories) and * Künstlerleben. Heiteres und Weiteres aus der Künstler- und Musikerwelt* (Artists' Life: Humorous and Further Tales from the World of Artists and Musicians ), as well as the educational work *Die Singkunst. Leitfaden für den praktische Gesangsunterricht für Schüler und Freunde des Gesanges. Zum Selbstunterricht geschrieben* (The Art of Singing: A Guide to Practical Singing Lessons for Students and Friends of Singing. Written for Self-Study ).
