Maria Gstättner is an Austrian composer, musician and artistic researcher. She studied music, vocal pedagogy and cultural management in Graz and Vienna. In 2005, she completed her artistic diploma in bassoon performance at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Gstättner have been composed for numerous renowned ensembles such as Ensemble Kontrapunkte and Wiener Concertverein. She is active as an artistic-scientific researcher in the field of musical improvisation and teaches as a senior artist at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
