Notes:

Sadie Koninsky was an American composer and arranger who lived most of her life in Troy, New York. Her first known published composition was issued by the M. Witmark publishing house in 1894. The Belles of Andalusia was a pleasant Spanish-tinged waltz. This was followed in 1895 by The Minstrel King, a typical march of the era, published in Albany. In 1896, she sold "Eli Green's Cake Walk" to Joseph W. Stern, a music publisher in New York City, who published it (under her legal name) with lyrics added by a staff writer. Sadie was also known as one of the finest violinists of her time and taught violin for several years, although she also played the piano occasionally. She composed about 300 works, although many may have remained unpublished or been lost to history.
