GEDIZLIOGLU, Zeynep

Zeynep Gedizlioğlu is a composer born in İzmir, Turkey. She studied composition with Cengiz Tanç, Theo Brandmüller, Ivan Fedele, and Wolfgang Rihm, and music theory with Michael Reudenbach. Her compositions have been performed at international festivals and broadcast on radio. She has received numerous distinctions, including the Ernst von Siemens Composers' Prize (2012), the Donizetti Music Award for Composer of the Year (2014), the Heidelberg Female Artist Prize (2018), and the Berlin Art Prize (2019). Gedizlioğlu currently lives and works as a freelance composer in Berlin.
