Wiesława Alicja Garr is a composer, pianist and conductor. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, France and she has been a member of the Union of Polish Composers from 1979 to 1997. She is the winner of the first prize at the 21st Competition of Young Composers of the Polish Composers’ Union in Warsaw (1978) for “Sura I al fatiha opening”.
