Maria Isabel Garmendia Goyeneche is a Spanish composer, pianist and music educator born in Oyarzun, Guipúzcoa. She studied piano and chamber music at the Conservatorio Superior Municipal de Música de San Sebastián before completing her higher studies in composition at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Navarra “Pablo Sarasate.” She also holds a degree in History from UNED and teaches harmony, piano, chamber music and choral ensemble at the Centro de Estudios Musicales de San Sebastián.
