Danuta Kaszewska Galin is composer and teacher. She studied composition at the State Higher School of Music in Łódź under Tomasz Kiesewetter. In 1986, she was awarded the Medal of Merit for Cultural Activity. Her output is dominated by piano and chamber music, characterized by traditional formal structures and a strong emphasis on melody as the principal means of expression. Among her works are Miniature for violin and piano (1972) and String Quartet No. 1 (1973).
