Notes:

Carolina Gadolin was a Finnish poet, writer, composer, and pianist. Alongside her literary career, she composed music and hosted a musical salon in Helsinki with her husband, Jakob Algot Gadolin. She is described as a multifaceted artist, an educated and cosmopolitan intellectual, and was involved in early feminist cultural initiatives. Only one of her compositions is known to survive, the song Afsked från Rom ("Departure from Rome"), preserved at the Sibelius Museum. Gadolin also wrote the libretto for the opera Esther, although the project was never completed.
