GABUNIA, Nunu

Nunu Gabunia is a Georgian composer, singer, teacher, author, and editor of television and radio programs. Born in Tbilisi, she studied at the Tbilisi Music School. She has composed operas, ballets, operettas, symphonic music and theater music. Her work also includes music for cartoons, documentaries, and commercials, as well as chamber vocal music, romances, songs, choral works, children's music, and popular songs. In 1988, she was awarded the Medal "Veteran of Labor" by resolution of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union in recognition of her distinguished contributions to culture and public service.
