Angelika Gabris is a composer and pianist. She was born in Munich, grew up, and lives in Vienna. She studied Translation Studies (Spanish and French) at the University of Vienna and attended lectures on music theory at the same university. Her early compositions were inspired by minimal music and were created in search of music that would accompany the translation of one language into another and support the melody of speech. She has composed contemporary classical music primarily for piano, as well as works for other instruments.
