FRIDRICHOVÁ, Květa

Květa Fridrichová was a Czech composer, educator, and instrumentalist. She was also known by the name Květuše Raueová-Fridrichová. She was born in the South Moravian town of Kyjov, Czech Republic. She later completed her musical education in the cities of Kroměříž and Olomouc. In addition to composing, Fridrichová was a highly active educator, teaching music at primary, secondary, and collegiate levels in both Prague and Olomouc. She was also an accomplished pianist, harpsichordist, and organist. Her work spanning several decades includes chamber music, vocal compositions, solo instrumental works, and educational pieces written specifically for children.
