A native of Granada, he began his piano training at the age of seven at Juventudes Musicales. He pursued professional piano studies at the Victoria Eugenia Conservatory in Granada under the guidance of professors Juan Miguel Hidalgo and Guillermo Wulf. He completed his studies in Composition at the Rafael Orozco Higher Conservatory in Córdoba with composer Juan de Dios García Aguilera.
