Ellen Fishman-Johnson, now known as Ellen Fishman, is a composer based in Brooklyn, New York. She is recognized for her work in creating new audience experiences by integrating emerging technology with live musicians. Fishman is a recipient of a Discovery Grant for Female Composers, an award supported by the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation. This grant was awarded for her interactive opera, *Marie Begins*. Her music can be found and streamed on SoundCloud.
