FHLANNAGÁIN, Úna Ní

Úna Ní Fhlannagáin is an award-winning Irish harper-composer and singer based in Galway, Ireland. Rooted in traditional Clare jigs, reels, and Connemara sean-nós singing, her style blends these folk elements with American post-minimalism, jazz, and her own original compositions. Known for her virtuosic playing, she has performed globally and collaborated with notable figures like Bobby McFerrin and Anthony Braxton. She also plays a unique, locally made hybrid instrument that combines early Gaelic and modern Irish harp design. Her debut album, Tús, features 14 of her original compositions written for this wire-strung hybrid instrument.
