FELDHUSEN, Sylke

Sylke Feldhusen is a composer, organist, and author. She is primarily known for her sacred music, particularly her compositions for organ and choir, as well as her career serving as an organist and choirmaster in Norway until her retirement. Feldhusen was born in 1962 and raised in North Germany. Her musical journey began early, and she started her education in church music at just 14 years old. By her mid-teens, she was already holding a part-time position as an organist in her hometown. She later pursued advanced musical studies at the Berliner Kirchenmusikschule, completing her final examinations there in 1987. Shortly after finishing her studies in Berlin, Feldhusen relocated to Norway. She spent her professional career working as an organist and choirmaster, serving congregations in Heddal and Notodden, until her retirement in 2024.
