FAUGIER, Fanny

Fanny Faugier, born Fanny-Julie Paul, was a French composer, arranger, and music teacher based in Paris. She is primarily known for her pedagogical piano music, which included light dance pieces, children's songs, and simplified musical transcriptions.
She was officially recognized as an Officier d'académie in 1896 for her dedicated work as a music professor in the city. While a significant portion of her catalog was designed for early-level piano students, some of her children's works (such as her 48 rondes enfantines) have been documented alongside historical studies of classic French children's tunes.
