Elsie B. Fardig (1924–2006) was a classically trained American composer, ethnomusicologist, and the University of Miami’s first Music Librarian. Best known for her work in musical archives and Latin American music, she is most frequently recognized in the classical performance world for her Scherzo for Double Bass and Piano.
