Faize Ergin, also known as Faize Hanim, was a Turkish classical music composer and tamburi player. At a very young age, she took lessons in the tanbur and music from Tanburi Cemil Bey, a close friend of her father. She later worked as a tanbur teacher at Darülelhan and various music societies. Faize Hanım, who played the tanbur very well and had a very rich musical culture, was married to Ruhi Bey, an education inspector. Encouraged by her husband, she began composing; she left behind a small but concise body of work.
