Ludmila Timofeevna Efimtsova-Sukharnikova is a Composer and teacher. Graduated from the P. Tchaikovsky Children's Music School No. 1, the Ordzhonikidze College of Arts , and in 1974 from the Gnessin State Musical and Pedagogical Institute , where she studied composition with Professor A.I. Khachaturian.
The works of L. Efimtsova - Sukharnikova are performed in Russia and abroad. The Ossetian composer's music has been warmly received in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Odessa, Yerevan, Baku, Tbilisi, Prague, Sofia, Berlin, Jerusalem, and other cities, as well as at contemporary music festivals in Poland (the K. Penderecki Festival), Russia (Moscow Autumn), and Bulgaria (Varna Summer).
