DOBROVICESCU, Sânziana Cristina

Romanian writer and composer Sânziana Cristina Dobrovicescu fuses theatrical and musical traditions. In her composition "Rites of Margins", the foundations of classical performance ritual are called into question: the concert opening is redesigned; the conductor sings, plays, and performs; the instrumentalists take turns conducting.

She has studied at a variety of schools, studying violin at the National University of Music in Bucharest (2013-2017), at the Jerusalem Academy of Music (2019), and onto composition at The University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria (2020-)
