DANIELA, Carmen

Carmen Daniela is a pianist, composer, and educator of Romanian and Austrian origin. As a child, she became a student of the noteworthy composer Alfred Mendelsohn in Bucharest. She later studied composition in Vienna, going on to teach piano at the Vienna Conservatory between 1973 and 1975. Between 1979 and 1989, she was a professor of piano at the University of Cologne.

Since 1987, Carmen has been director of the Internationalen Musikfestwochen in Burgen und Schlössern, a celebrated classical and chamber music festival set in historical castles, palaces, and manors.
