Cuban arranger, composer, choral conductor, producer and teacher Beatriz Corona Rodríguez was born in Havana on 22 June 1962. She studied choral conducting with Alina Orraca and Teresa Pentón.
She has worked in Sweden, Argentina and Venezuela, and is one of Cuba's most prolific contemporary composers of choral music, with a catalogue of over two hundred works which also includes chamber, orchestral and film music. Many of her earlier choral works can be found on the 2002 album Aire Nocturno.
